Prof. Giuseppe Maruccio

Giuseppe Maruccio is Associate Professor at University of Salento in Lecce (Italy) and carries out his research within the joint laboratories with CNR-NANOTEC with main focus on molecular and nano-spintronics, lab on chip, scanning probe microscopy.
At only 28 years, he was coordinator of the EU project SpiDME on molecular spintronics and then he was successfully granted in other open competitions (UE, FIRB, PRIN and MAE projects), attracting also funds from external sources such as private companies. Moreover, he participated in writing large scale projects at the Institute/University level which allowed to buy very advanced instrumentation.
G. Maruccio is author of more than 100 publications and 4 patents in addition to several invited contributions at international conferences, institutions and PhD schools (h-index 20, citations >1200 [WOS]). From December 2014, he is Research Delegate for the Rector for the University of Salento. Within Madia, G. Maruccio is leader of WP1 and involved in WP3 and WP5.
