Dr. Francisco Campos possesses an experience of more than 10 years (PhD, 2006, University of Vigo, Spain) in the field of neuroscience. He did his postdoctoral training with Dr. Cristina Suñol (IIBB-CSIC, Barcelona), Prof. José Castillo (University Hospital of Santiago de Compostela) and Prof. Michael Moskowitz/ Dr. Christian Waeber (Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard Medical School). He has published more than 50 international and original articles in the main journals of Neurology and Neurosciences field, participated in the submission of 4 patents and he is also the director of 7 PhD students and supervised 3PhD theses. He has participated in more than 10 research projects with public and private financing, being at present PI of 2 national projects, and PI of two European Projects. Francisco Campos is also coordinator of a private project aimed to develop the pharmacological application of the recombinant enzyme GOT in stroke pathology. Finally, Francisco Campos is a Miguel Servet Researcher, the highest professional category in Biomedical Research in Spain.
In the MADIA project, he will be in charge in the supervision of the recruitment of blood and CSF samples from AD and PD patients and in the validation of the sensor device.
